Troubleshooting my fuel gauge issues.
I was thinking today. (uh oh!)
Seems like the big issues with aftermarket fuel senders are the too short float arm, and the completely wrong rectangular board for the resistor wire. So maybe with salvaged parts from an OEM fuel pickup / float assembly, maybe a new one can be rebuilt into what it needs to be.
I was wondering if newer Mopars, like 80's K cars used a similar style float arm / resistor board / fuel pickup tube. Maybe one could be used to provide parts for rebuilding a float / sensor assembly for 1970s cars. Fuel injected cars would have the in tank pump, but carbureted cars would have their fuel pump up front on the engine.
