My search for a shorty D100 is over

Today was bumpstop day. Anyone else have that on their calendar? No? Just me? Ok. The few miles I’ve put on the truck since lowering it had my back crying for help since we did nothing but change the ride height. Today I did the rest of what needed to happen to the front suspension so that things don’t go solid over every bump making me wonder where I’m going to loose control. I cut 2” off the original bump stop mounts and 1” off the bottom of the bump stop itself. Made a flat plate for a new mount and welded it all back together giving the suspension its full range of travel again. Brief test drive down my absolutely terrible street was wonderful. It does NOT drive like a 1983 Nissan hardbody with cut springs any longer. I’d say it’s perfect but now I have to C notch the rear. Maybe I’ll start on that tomorrow.
