In high school, out west, during the 80's. Our rival institution had a 70 Ls6 driver and I had my 66 Fairlane 390 GTA. We went for close to half a mile from a roll. My friend in the back seat was hugging the floor on the top end. No takers...

74 D100 with a prepped 340 833 combo against a 65 Chevelle 327 4spd. I ran open exhaust out the side on the right in front of the rear tires. I was shifting a 6700 and he couldn't hear his ride. He stretched a rod cap! I can still see him on my right looking over for my next shift point...
