1969 Dodge Dart Swinger 340 Sold at Mecum today for $40,000

Barrett Jackson and Mecum have really driven up prices .
They completely over blow the worth of a so so car .
I understand,,,it’s money,,,,,but they will list something as a loaded option car,,,,and it will be basically plain Jane by the fender tag .
List it as rare,,,,and they are still plenty around .

And then there are the goofy buyers that pay the premium over sale price .
It’s all a Racket,,,,and the public has fallen for it !,,,,it’s entertainment TV !

I’m not against anyone making their money back on a restoration,,,,,this is the car hobby,,,and it’s really hard to ever recoup your cost many times .

I’m against people taking a junk parts car,,,,covering up a bunch of abuse and damage,,,,and pawning it off as a great restoration .
I’m sure there are workers at those auctions that can see poorly rebuilt machines,,,but will never say anything because of their jobs .

Not all of the cars are poor quality ,,,,but a fair percentage are,,, that’s why I never watch them anymore.
It’s just like reality TV,,,,all fake and made up .
