How in the world are you going to do that.
I can't wait to see this.
Here’s how it’s going to be done:
I’ve got a set of relocation boxes with two sets of mounting holes. I’ll use the rearward holes for alignment with the stock location, but the forward holes will be the actual new mounting points. The rear slider mounts will also move forward by the same 1.5 inches.
Up front, the K-member mounts will be shifted forward as well. A custom set of billet spacers will be made and welded to the Hemi Denny brackets. For the upper mounts, I’ll be using the Safe-T-Cap upper control arm mount kit and re-mounting my upper coilover brackets into those in the same manner.
The only other modification will be a longer mid-shaft for the steering. That should cover all the mechanical changes.
As for the bodywork, the fiberglass fenders will need a lot of work—but they needed it anyway—and Hot Rod Heaven is already stretching the quarters, so now’s the perfect time to handle it all.
