Do domed KYB 399’s interfere with 302 cast heads?

you keep saying 400~500 horse 318... and then your next breath listing parts directly contradicts that by mentioning the items that would support that claim.

i'll believe it when i see it.

oh, and anybody could build **** like that if all the expensive stuff is free. this sounds like a magazine build with a bunch of made up horse pucky.
I do machining and porting myself, it’s what I do professionally, and I make headers too. 450 crank from a 318 with heavily ported closed chamber heads and high compression with a 750cfm 4 barrel and am edelbrock dual plane, with a cam is absolutely not a difficult thing, 5.2 liters to put 325-360 rwhp down isn’t an unbelievable task I mean hotrod magazine literally has a walkthrough to make a 400ho 318 with just a couple grand in bolt ons, being able to use some bolt ons, and customize factory parts to work better 450 crank really is not a wild number. 302 fords will do it, 350 Chevys, 340s will do it and it’s the same motor with like 120 thou more width in each bore. It’s not like some crazy number, lighten the crank, polish the rods, do some old school stuff too it helps, full floaters, I did forget to mention valve springs of course.

I pay for every part out of pocket and use my own skills to machine and port the parts. Sorry if it’s cheaper for me because I’m able to use the machinery and have the knowledge and skills to port engines. It’s been my job almost 15 years I have a shelf with over 100 different heads from super cars to pre war cars cut in half l for a skeleton view that I can reference when porting customers cars to the max. It’s what I do, if anyone is able to get some easy power out of an engine it’s someone who’s a professional. All I wanted to know here was if anyone had tried running a certain piston head combo. Idk why all the anger, I’m just having fun building engines and tuning them.
