Yes the alternator is mounted to the frame rail. The alternator bracket doubles as an engine torque limiter too. Torque tube on the other side on the supercharger spring loaded support bracket. Have never had a problem with the alternator belt. Not a fan of flopping, dangling alternators throwing belts.

I had an Ed Quay wing on my car when I bought it but it never saw 130 but, i always got compliments. Took it off for repaint and it's been 160+ and have been thinking I might put something on it because it might help at 175ish. IDK seemed OK at 160 though. I'd think for it to be effective, it'd need an adjustable height wicker.
