I have the almost identical build as yours Except .030 stock replacement pistons and my 1341 regrind is .535 lift (1.6 ratio). 3.55 gears in a b-body. 26 inch tall tires.
I was running a 904 Torqueflite Patty 340 converter at about 2400 stall. I had Edge Racing converters (Andre) custom build me a 3200 stall converter and very happy. Good price too!! Not a huge difference from the 2400 stall but definitely works better with the cam. Mild manners on the highway and around town but really co mes on when hammered and I like to drive the way you do.
