wiper linkage bushings 1974 Scamp 3 speed wipers

recently bought a 1974 Plymouth Scamp and all the wiper bushings are missing. they seem to be an odd size. the pins measure .373 and the holes in the linkage are .545. I have tried 2 different sets from online vendors and they fit the linkage arms but not the pins. they both measure about .030 too small. tried doorman 49439 and they are for a .608 hole in the wiper linkage arms,,, help. this car has 3 speed wipers.

Your 1974 Scamp uses polyurethane bushings, or retainers, which first appeared on the 1973 A-body and B-body models, then spread throughout most product lines in subsequent years, continuing through the 1990s on some models. The bushings are still available through Chrysler as number 3799089. Some listings/labels may show the number as 03799089.

The Dorman, or Help!, number for the bushings is 49440.

The aftermarket bushings can work, but are not as good as the Chrysler bushings, and may not contain the grease that the Chrysler bushings contain. The grease can be added using lithium grease such as Lubriplate, or a silicone grease such as Sil-Glyde (AGS SG-8).
