wiper linkage bushings 1974 Scamp 3 speed wipers

the doorman 49440 are the same as all the others I have tried. the Mopar 3799089,, same deal. they fit the linkage arms but have ,030 of interference fit,, they are locked on the pins. anyone else have any ideas before I waste a day machining up some different pins and tig welding them.
