Got a favorite dog breed? Which one and why?

Like @Harrison, I love the minature dachunds. Loyal and loving. Yes they can bark a little too much, but hey! who is perfect.
I have had beagles and bassets, love those.
Had a couple of Rotts, the absolute kindness dogs.
Had a pointer, a wonderful dog.

The man that has never experienced the love that a human and a dog share...unfortunately, there is a piece of that person's soul he will never know.
