if you are only looking for additional tire clearance, you may see what brake package you are running. The older Wilwood (and other brands) used a hub that pushed the hub outward an extra 3/4" per side.
regardless how far you pull the hub in, my experience is it is hard to get a 26" diameter tire in the early A bodies without at least a small fender lower lip modification.
I (HDK) have replaced many early Magnun Force conversions mostly because they bump steered so bad and road hard / rough.
