I mean really, unless you're going for a 100% concours restoration, do something like this:

A kid could do it and you'd never know it had been cut. But look at those features. WHY wouldn't you want an upgrade like THAT? I have one in Vixen and I love it. I lost sleep when I cut the dash but now I think it's the best thing I ever did. I got the chrome face and it looks REALLY nice and REALLY retro. Almost like it cam there.
