Can always ask him to strip it back and take pictures. These things are hens teeth in decent shape. I wanted original-ish stuff so I DID end up finding a 69 Dart vert seat at an online auction in Nebraska. My son in law was taking a road trip from DFW area to our home (Virginia) and did a HUGE detour and picked it up for me. That saved me crazy shipping costs. I paid ~375 bux for the seat and a $125 or so for extra nite hotel room and gas for them. The seat is NOT prefect but it IS going to work well and it was better than what I had (which was nothin).
