I just installed one in my 71 that fit fine once I figured out the bottom bolt slots. With the bolts in both slots it was an inch higher on one side than the other. I figured out that on one side the bolt goes in the slot, on the other side it goes in a square hole right above the slot. I'm glad I noticed that before I started drilling holes to install it.
