Are Walmart Mopar oil filters good?

WalMart has such a huge amount of buying power that they can tell manufacturers how they want products made. I know that the tires they sell are not the same tires you can buy elsewhere. They are cheaper runs of similar tires available in their manufactirers vendors elsewhere. You cannot get the "WalMart" versions anywhere else. For example, the Good Wrangler tire you get from WalMart is not the same Goodyear Wrangler tire you get from a Goodyear store, or a bonafide Goodyear dealer. I don't know if that holds true to oil filters and other items or not, but I hold it suspect.

This x ”a million”.

Even brand names at Walmart may not be equivalent to the same brand name bought somewhere else, there are many cases of this across various brands and items.

That and Mopar will put their brand name on anything if you pay them enough money, it does not mean better quality by itself.

I wouldn’t trust a “Mopar” brand filter to be better. And I certainly wouldn’t expect a Walmart Mopar filter to even be equivalent to another Mopar filter. You’re gonna have to cut them open and compare if you really want to have any idea.
