Amp/bulkhead bypass question.

Good morning, I have to ask, I am installing powermater 90 amp one wire alt with built-in voltage regulator in my 70 dart swinger. After reading all the bypass post and arguments
If I reroute 10 wire with fusable link, J spot on bulkhead and do the amp meter bypass ( or do not) and pull the black 12 wire off the p bulkhead inside the car and safe it off.Then remove or eliminate the 12 black wire from alternator to p bulkhead engine bay .Does anyone see why this would not work.
I am not trying to start a arguments!
