Amp/bulkhead bypass question.
If you run a wire as above in post 2, fuse or breaker protect it. You still need to make certain that the bulkhead terminals are in good shape, because running that jumper wire turns the old red and black ammeter wires into a parallel circuit to run power into the car interior. Also Make certain that the ammeter connections are OK and most guys bolt them together and tape them. They are both "hot" the black is NOT ground.
