Well, won’t be racing anytime soon

What chain did you use with the tensioner? If a double roller, which with your deal is much more likely than not, that’s why it ate the guides. I hate those things. They do have a place and it’s either on a stock engine with a link belt type chain, or in the trash can.
I feel your pain after having my motor out for the fourth time in 3 years I was real tempted to sell everything and pursue my dream of putting a Hellcat motor in my D150. It seems like every time I race something else happens , bad alternator a few weeks ago , bad battery ( not even a year old ) etc. Last time I took the motor out a month ago I thought something was seriously wrong but it turned out to be a broken flex plate. I am 71 years old and semi retired but I still work part time to keep busy and make some money for racing. I have been racing for over 40 years , many of my racing friends are older than me and still going they give me the inspiration to keep going ... a few more years at least . If anything I might cut back a little and enjoy my D150 more .. cruise nights, shows etc. but as a racer I can only tolerate that so much. I hope everything works out and the damage isn't to bad.
