True but that would be an extreme example. I suppose if your doing 80 and floor it enough to drop to 3rd there would be a significant rpm spike but I don’t see myself doing that.
Funny thing is that is exactly what my 2003 Ram does . I hate the programming on that trany ! It will bog when I accelerate at hiway speeds until the pedal is almost floored ! Then it disengages the LU and OD while simultaneously downshifting all the way to third . Then it quickly starts shifting up , re-engaging od , then lockup then starts to bog again .
Climbing mtn passes or even moderate uphill are so annoying!
