Pro tree braket race

I can only relate my experience.
I believe my car was SLIGHTLY faster using the brake, compared to foot braking. . M y personal benefit of the brake was more consistent lights. Stepping off a button was easier than swapping feet. I didn't use a two step, just wooded the throttle at the first yellow, stepped off at the third. 5300 rpm leave.
But that transbrake leave was FUN! Small wheelstand with the brake, left flat footbraked.
My memory may be faulty, but I'm pretty sure deep stage was not allowed in super pro, our only pro tree class. Exactly why I ran pro. Full tree, no box!

Luckily deep staging is allowed in pro dial and 11.50 index , as well as my local tracks Pro and Sportsman classes . When I started pro tree racing I was going back and forth between shallow and deep , two very good local successful racers told me to go deep and stay that way ! I have and have done pretty well. I am at the point now were I don't like the full tree anymore. Several racers use a two step , personally I don't like the idea of misfiring cylinders to limit rpm. Same thing with plate systems to slow the car : I have tried the E Z plate system ( change plates with different size holes to restrict flow ) and the Willys adjustable plate ( turn the plate in or out to restrict flow ) and found that in my application they both killed to much mph. I use a modified Moroso stop which is a bolt to restrict throttle opening : in for faster out for slower... my usual 11.50 setup has my secondaries barely opening.
