Anyone have a metal ceiling in their shop?

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned why those ridges are formed into the steel. It's not for appearance, they provide rigidity. And when you put the panel flat, it would take a whole lot more support to prevent sagging without the ridges.

Right! But those major ridges are a little more prominent than I may want….

I found a panel with a relatively more sedate and/or “regular” pattern that I may just pull the trigger on.
