1994 Dakota is getting this G3 in a few weeks
For the oil pressure check I left the plugs out and simply turned it over until oil pressure came up. 58 psi @ 230 rpm, good enough for me. I will say the direct drive of the crank to oil pump relationship is noticeably less than traditional crank-cam-driveshaft oil pumps. For example if I turn over a hydraulic roller SBC/SBM for oil pressure in the same manner , once the oil pump primes it drags the starter RPM down about 50 rpm but that is not the case with the LS/G3 platform. I would have to say the new style is far more efficient. J.Rob
