Quick... which way's better (225/273)

Regardless of what the crowd says, it's always easier and more affordable to leave a car with the type engine it came with. That said, 300HP is a tall order for any slant 6 that doesn't have a blower or turbo. I have one on the stand now that MIGHT reach out and touch it, but it has a head that has had 318 valves put in it, it's been ported big time and the rest of the engine is far from stock. Even with all that, I would be very shocked if I got 300HP. But I'm not going for a number. I'm going to have fun. Remember, these cars are light. They don't need a crap load of power to be fun.
Although I do like V8 engines, I do have to agree with Rusty rat rod on this issue. Some of the neatest encounters I have had with people at Mopar car shows was somebody who had a slant six car that was pretty much untouched and original. They love driving the car, they love the attention it gets, and even though they are surrounded by hemi Cudas And other awesome big power Mopar’s at a Mopar show, those /6 cars get quite a bit of attention. I talked to a young kid one time (25ish) at a Mopar show for about 30 minutes. He was so excited to show me everything about his bone stock slant six 4 door car. Although it was pretty much original and a little rough around the edges, he had done a beautiful job of detailing it inside and out.
