I wish it was closer craigslist finds

I can remember back in the 70's and 80's my Dad had a subscription to Hemmings and would pore through those 1" thick magazines as soon as they hit the mailbox and then back through a couple of times. That magazine seemed to have the broadest reach, coast to coast. We would also take Sunday drives and pickup newspapers from other big cities in the region to go through the sale ads and find swap meets and such. Finding parts and cars was a lot of effort. Now you just have Google take care of you in a few minutes.
the Chicago Sun Times seemed to be the best for local papers for car/parts ads. even had a performance section if I remember correctly.
