Dome light switch removal

Hi all. My dome light stopped working. Checked fuse, bulb and switch. Power to switch so I’ll try a new switch. Is there a trick to disconnecting the blade connectors on the switch?? After an hour, I gave up and thought I should ask. Thanks!
