Need advice for 340 intake swap

As I've covered before, you end up with column of air the size of the port, drawing thru intake with occasional gains in torque, proven by Mercruiser on various engines, most obviously w/Square Port Manifold on Peanut Port BB Chevy heads(a huge easily seen difference and probably the easiest to search for details on). & heard some Ford engines, that I never heard details on,
And step on bottom of port 'mismatches' is best as in turn fluids go to outside of turn & inside of turn is slow(think about boating on a river)
Exactly. In other words.....it can have some positive effects. Besides all that, the engine is only going to pull in what it needs. It's not like air and fuel is gonna "pile up" at the intake port at the head. That ain't how it works.
