What Does "Reasonable Offer" mean?

I always offer low, because of our financial situation. I also send along a note saying "not trying to be an *** with lowballing........" or some such. If they accept it fine. If not fine.

No offense to you but if you can't afford to buy, please don't piss me off with a half price offer. I know I can't be the only one that will respond in anger and maybe even RAISE the price just to piss you off in return.

If your offer is considered unreasonable you run the risk of no reply.

That would be the most polite response....NO response at all. I can't promise you that from me though. If I feel insulted, I'm going to strike back.
Now, this is how I am. That is because I'm not looking to get rich on what I sell, I just want a fair price that is in line with what other sellers are asking for similar stuff.

I had a guy offer me 40% less on a new part I had. It will cost him double to buy it new. It’s weird.

I love to buy stuff at swap meets. If I see a price on a part and the price is WAY higher than average, I'll either say nothing and move along OR do my best to politely tell the guy that I've seen others for sale at a much lower price. I have actually had guys show some humility and at least appear like they would consider lowering their price.

This is just me though. There are others that are more understanding or tolerant of low offers.
I am not rolling in cash but I'm doing okay. I've never sold based on the immediate need for the money so you won't be able to take advantage of me that way.
