I don't even use all the power the slant offers. Most of my driving is a half inch or less of the gas... Can't say it's power related... though it is hilly here and sometimes I could use a small amount more of torque...

I believe it's just I like the sound of the V8, the way the V8 sits under the hood, and in my opinion how much more accessible the "common parts" are on a V8 (distributor, spark plugs, etc). Even the T-stat standing upwards on the slant is in it's own sense not common sense... LOL. And I'm not picking on slants, just saying that "I can't slant"... :D
