I wish I knew how I came to this point, but sometimes you just fiddle with it enough and try a different approach. For who knows what reason, it works! Blind hog found an acorn. I loosened the 3 bolts that hold the regulator in place and rotated the mounting slightly in the slotted holes. That reoriented the frame and glass just the right amount to make it fit perfectly.
