I was (past tense) a member of the Audio Society of Minnesota, and with Manufacturers like Audio Research, Magnepan, Atma-Sphere, and Wally Malewicz (RIP) all being local to me, and "insider deals" easily accessible, well....things got outta hand pretty quickly! Heck, at one time I had over $40k in amplification alone....
Maggies and tubes can be a good combination in the right setting, nice!
Nice, wow that's a lot of $amplification$. One of the amps my father ran with those maggies was dual Dynaco ST 70's, that sounded pretty sweet. Those speaks are power hungry tho, think only the Acoustats I owned were more inefficient
