2k is high side. 72 isnt really a show stopper it's downfalls are easily corrected. The block heads crank etc. is the meat and potatoes and some love the 72 intake and Thermoquad to include the trapdoor air cleaner. But I know what you are saying... if i bought a 72 in pieces Id build it up to earlier specs. I'm talking street not race motor racing is another realm. IMO if you are racing you aren't quibbling about money much or shouldn't be. Also lets be honest 2k isnt alot of scratch these days Im not insulted by that asking price, that actually weeds out alot of deadbeats and tire kickers IMO. If it was me id ask 2k and lower it if the phone didn't ring etc.
