Some of you may or may not know about their new block they are in the process of having produced.
I spent an extensive amount of time today talking to 440 Source about the new block and here's what they told me.
1. Block will be cast and machined in China (I am okay with that)
2. Price is not set in stone yet, but they are hoping to target around $3500 at this time.
3. Block will be cross bolted
4. They are projecting it will support 1800-2000 HP
5. At this time they think the first 50 will be available in December.
6. If interested in one they are compiling a list of prospective customers and will call them in the order received when the blocks are ready for sale.
7. I got on the list
8. They are currently working to expand the available line of 4.500" bore pistons.
9. If the RB project goes well they will plan on producing a 4.500" bore 400 block later on.
That's about the long and short of the conversation.
