Yep. Your truck engine carb/dyno experience was after the dyno issue had been identified and corrected.

I still get ribbed by some for a bonehead move I pulled street racing 40 years ago. Went to lunch with a friend, on the way to the cars on our way out, he spouts off with "turn on the fuel pump." Car had a mechanical pump, but would drop dead at 1000-1100 feet... yeah it shut off. They don't let me forget. :)
