he last time I went to the doctor he asked me how many medications I was on. I said zero and never was. He almost fell out of his chair. I asked him why he was surprised, and he said because very rarely does he get a customer that is not regularly taking some kind of pharmaceutical... Very sad...

I think it says it all right there-"customer".
Watching all the ads on TV for medicine; ask your doctor. pretty soon, you'll walk into his office and it will be lined with all the "as seen on TV" products. What can I help you with today? Just my opinion.
I was on asthma medicine and needed a refill. Doc said to stop in and he would refill it without a checkup. Watched him walk across the office to the copier, lean on it in what appeared to be an out of breath moment. Decided there I was down unless it was an emergency. Changed some eating habits, found some supplements. Maybe I just out grew it, but no daily snorts or sprays.
