foods that cause anxiety

I agree. I think it has come down to the fact that doctors are no longer doctors, they're drug dealers. A person gets on medications for being overweight and doesn't want to exercise, and experiences bad side effects. So the doctor prescribes an additional medication to counteract the side effects of the first medication. The second medication comes with bad side effects, so the doctor prescribes a third medication to counteract the side effects of the second medication.... I'm not even a doctor, but I can name three people I know today that are experiencing this same scenario. So multiply these three people by the millions of other victims in the U.S. who are imbibing lots of meds every month, and you end up with a billion dollar pharmaceutical industry that's taking your money all the way to the bank.

That's my mom in a nutshell. Can't get it out of her head that doctors aren't trying to cure a problem they're just trying to sell you more meds. Every time I talk to her she has to say something about a medical issue she's having, just went to/going to the doctor, trying a new medication. It's been the same crap my entire life and it's super frustrating yet heartbreaking at the same time. It's impossible to help someone who doesn't want to help themselves.

That also causes me to be a bit triggered by my wife's habits. She takes ibuprofen almost daily for whatever random aches and pains, I give her a lot of crap for it because that's not what it's meant for and she knows it and chronic use is bad for your health. She has clinically diagnosed ADHD and takes Adderall for it. She knows once we start trying for kids she's going to have to get off of it and I'm going to do my best to keep her from having to get back on it again. There has to be other ways.

I'm not free of guilt myself as I take sertraline and Clonazepam for anxiety but I take the lowest possible dosage you can get. I know I wouldn't need it if I could make some lifestyle changes to slow things down but that's basically impossible right now and modern life in itself is just horrible for mental health overall. So much to do all the time and there's not enough time in the day...
