Too much intake? RPM Air Gap on a stocker 360

I have an RPM air gap on a 9:1 360 in a 1979 truck with 600 AVS2 carb, electric choke. Don’t remember the cam specs without looking it up, but it’s a smallish Lunati HFT. East TN, so winters aren’t terrible, but we get cold weather. No cold start or cold run issues whatsoever. I have been very pleased with the air gap and AVS2 combo.
