Although, the 03-08 systems are regulated via the computer, the two wire plug can be retroed to the old voltage regulator. The Eagle stuff is another animal entirely. I forget how it exactly it works, like a pulse wave or some **** like that. I spent a **** ton of money on a Powermaster alternator for the Eagle setup. Not sure if this applies to the Eagle stuff, @racerjoe did a write up for his own one wire conversion.

Judging by appearance, the alternators look the same, which means the modification I came up with may work. I would need to see the back side of the alternator with the cover removed to determine that. I also heard maybe you can use the pulley from and eagle on an early motor to make the pulley alignment work. I'm not 100% on that.
