Is it harder to buy used parts these days or is it just me?

I've kind of had my fill with Craigslist a while back prob pre covid. I call a guy back then about an engine he doesn't call back etc. and it was about a 2 hour drive so I'm thinking "this guy is unreliable I don't know if I want to spend the time driving out there even if he does call a month later " etc. one thing for sure these days is people are flakes.
