That's why I try to recommend lower compression ratios. Between 8.5 and a flat 9:1 is plenty to make a fair amount of power on and have a blast with and still run on 87 swill you can get anywhere, plus you don't have to worry about it acting funny in traffic in the dead of summer. But people refuse to listen and push the envelope.
