David Vizard / Uncle Tony...Small block Infos ?

Won't all small blocks respond the same with similar modifications?
These guys all have something to offer on you tube with the TV guys trying a little harder to sell you their
sponsors products so they might get results you and I can't..just watch it and watch out!
Now if we could just get a 3.58 stroke crank into a 318 painlessly it might be a pretty good platform.
Hmm..I think one of the domestics did something similar in 1997 ?

If you view the engine as a simple air pump, yes. However, in between the different makes there are some very critical differences in how the heads flow, how much velocity, swirl and tumble those heads generate, cam height, lifter angles, parasitic drag, rotating mass, etc, so on and so forth that all have impacts on how well its performs.

In the Mopar world, compare the modern Hemi to a mid 60s 273 Commando, which was a hot small block in its time. So hot in fact, that it won the very first Trans Am over 2.0 liter race. While we call it a Hemi, its really a pent roof wedge built on small block architecture. These two engines are worlds apart in efficiency, power and capability.
