Today I learned that you can buy the potting material. I had no idea. I've thrown good SBEC's in the trash because the potting material compromised and was letting water get to the electronics.
I've actually asked electronic repair places if they could replace the potting, only to be told no.
I guess the bastards wanted to charge me for new/reman units.
