Have you ever torn apart an all-original car to build what you wanted?

Getting back to the original subject. I agree with some posters, if it's a common car that they made hundreds of thousands of, then have at it. Chop it up all you'd like. But if it's a rare car like a Shelby then that just pisses me off. This is because EVERY car that gets customized, it's customized only for the person that customized it. 99% of any other people don't like how it was customized (ex. needs different carb, the color is ugly, the stereo is old, etc.). So then the end result is a piece of ****, after it goes through five owners and gets frankensteined with each owner. Then after it's been through all these owners and raped and pillaged, then the last stop is the junkyard. I'm sure everyone here can remember aggravating times of having to undo other peoples hack jobs, and it's not fun. And I'm sure people here can also remember awesome but hacked up cars in the junkyard that piss you off just looking at them in the junkyard....
