The kid and I have driven it all over.

This, right here, is exactly what I keep trying to tell people. Enjoy your car(s) the way YOU want to! Let the next idiot worry about making it "correct". Unless it's an extremely rare car, and is all there when you got it. You're nothing more than a caretaker, make the most of your time and have some fun, that's what they're meant for.
