Outrageous shipping fee from Mancini Racing

By the time you guys add in the shipping cost to what your buying, is it still cheaper than buying it a local part store?

Yes. The local parts stores don't carry the special (read: Mopar) items I need. They're fine for shop towels, hand cleaner & air fresheners but you're still paying for their brick & mortar business. With orders over $109 (and mine always seem to be $1K or better), Summit ships free - and Summit is usually less expensive for universal items like carburetors, fuel injectors, etc.. NAPA isn't too bad (with the car club discount) for routine maintenance daily driver stuff. As many on here have stated, you can sometimes find good deals on batteries and peripheral things like oil & other fluids at Walmart, but for the big ticket and brand specific stuff, Summit is my go to.

Is Summit perfect - no, but in my experience their customer service is outstanding. For example, I received a notice that a big two box shipment was due to arrive on Tues between 9 AM - 1:15 PM - but it didn't. Wed morning I got a text saying they just attempted delivery at 9:15 AM but could not complete the delivery because they didn't have a code/key for the security gate. Huh??? I live on a public residential street with nothing between the curb and my porch. I was home and no one appeared on the street in front of the house. I called Summit. The customer service girl looked into it and advised she would reorder the parts - would 4-5 days be ok for shipping? I said yes. That evening I took wifey to dinner and when we returned, the original shipment was on the porch. I immediately called Summit and was able to have them cancel the replacement shipment. I can't speak for others but, if there has ever been a problem, the folks at Summit have jumped right on it and made it right.
