Heater instrument panel differences for 67?

I'm dealing with a massive
Interesting.

I have a 11/66 build 67 Dart GT and 2/67 build 67 Dart GT both only have one spring. Go figure?
I was a bit stumped but there it was...the Dart is the primo car so I "stole" the Cuda hinges and tossed them in the Dart (shhh...no one will know...)...I'll put the 68+ hinge in the Cuda which is and easy swap.

I'm in a total Catch-22 with this radio crap for the 67 Dart. Its hilarious...

1. Someone butchered the original 67 AC bezel to install a RetroSound. I hate it. Want to go back to OEM. I have a 67 AND a 68/9 radio. Both work.

2. I have a new 68/9 bezel. But that means cutting the "squares" for the 68/9 thumb dials in the dash...but the 68/9 dash have those recessed mount holes too...more tom foolery and once I do it...its done.

3. So I stripped the hacked bezel and experimented with ALL the chrome options. I even cast the round dial faces in resin and painted them with Alclad II chrome in the hopes of using the new 68/9 bezel as a hybrid 67 1/2 bezel. 3D print the 2 68/9 square holes, drill a round hole in them and then use my round resin mock ups and DONE.... But then there is Revell chrome spray but it wears off. So does Molowtow. blah blah blah. Then there is a new Rustoleum Ive heard about that is supposed to be decent. On and on and on....

4. I then found a pretty nice 67 bezel for AC I managed to find on ebay. But the glove box and cluster bezels are all new (the place in RI had a redone 67 glove box bezel shockingly so I nabbed it).....so its a mismatch right now. A nice cluster bezel on the left....a nice glove box on the right. Now back to the 67 bezel I got off ebay - the guy said it was mint. Well its not. Upon closer exam...someone CUT the non-AC heater control section out and glued in an AC heater control plate !!! (actually did a decent job of it)...I was so mad but the guy refunded me entirely and I got to keep the piece.

5. Ok...well...send the 67 ebay bezel off to RI ? Will it be redoable with that glued in AC control plate or will they say no and send it back and Im right back to doing the 68/9? Round and round we go...

This damn dash has been gpoing on for a year. But I did convert the Amp gauge to the Bosch Voltmeter using the WhiteGauges kit which looks fantastic. So the cluster is all set along with doing the MAD rewire...
