Back in ‘89 or ‘90 when I was managing a NAPA store, one of the P/T evening kids had a convertible version of that car. 318 auto is all I can remember. When one of his grandparents died he got a considerable inheritance (for back then), so he sold the Challenger for damn near next to nothing and bought a fully restored, trailer queen ‘69 El Camino with a 396 and 4 speed. Of course he drove it in the winter, and of course he smashed it all to hell.

Anyway, I was saving up for an upcoming wedding, and couldn’t afford the “next to nothing” price for the Challenger at the time. Still kick myself for that one.
yeah....if only he knew what he had. I sold the challenger because I thought ( back then) this car is not considered a "true Muscle era challenger" so i sold it.. I always wanted a 70 T/A which was going for about 10-15k @ the time? I have a pic of me in front of my car in the dead of winter. It was so loud and the heater never worked right but hey.... I had my mopar!
