Yeah, I hit the right front corner of a '68 Ford Galaxie 500, pulled the edge of the bumper 90 degrees around.
The Torino was the first one of at least half a dozen. I had already rebuilt it from a crash in 1980, I was heading home from school when a dumbass in a '69 Mustang decided to make a quick u-turn in front of me. I barely had time to hit the brakes before the front of my Torino caved in the driver's door and 1/4 panel, popped the trunk open, and sent the spare tire sailing into the wall of a nearby house, taking out a China cabinet in the process. I got a bill from the homeowners insurance company for over $10k to repair the damage. The other driver had no license, no insurance and the car was not his. What a shitshow that was. He was held fully responsible for the collision, my car was totaled, I had only had it for 2 months, so I bought it back from the insurance company and repaired it myself, then got the whole thing repainted and still had a few hundred bucks left.
did you fight that...The china cabinet thing. I would have said two words...."POUND SALT"
