Adding this to a 318 does not work, 360 ports are to big. i know from experience, engine will not run right until full operating temp, i removed this and went to the original 318 intake then all good
When you swapped to the 318 intake, did you use the same 360 carb?
Cuz in my experience, the problem you describe with the 360 carb on the 360 intake, is NOT the intake. Rather, it's the 360 carb.
I spent several hours on a combo like that, to get the 360 carb sorted out, and a matching ignition timing curve for it, after which it ran like the proverbial raped ape.
But, IMO, I'd just slap a 2800 convertor on it and run any old intake and carb.
