Thing is, I didn't want to involve the seller. I was pissed and bitchin. Im unfamiliar with early blocks and thought there was differences in cranks, etc.

See any inconsistency in your posts? You suggest that others should PM you rather than publicly fault you (in the post you started), but you didn't PM the seller to address buyer-remorse concerns, despite them being a forum member. Rather, you started a post fussing about things that worry you, but didn't check before buying or even after.

The block is a fine year, perhaps even superior. You can bolt any heads to it you want, such as after-market aluminum ones. Ditto for the water pump housing. I didn't see where your question about mounting to the K-frame were answered. Haven't been there, but expect K-frames for BB engines differed and are rare since BB A-bodies were very rare. There may be adapter brackets.
